What I've learnt will enable me to develop systems and get it all up and running. It's made me realise how important the whole issue is.
My objectives certainly were met. I learned quite a lot, more than I had been taught on a previous course run by an outside firm.
The course provides knowledge and skills in a relaxed forum, that involves reps from different industries to share their problems and perspectives .
I now know that I can help my fellow workers be safe at work and help them avoid hurting themselves.

I learned a lot. The course was given in a friendly way, which made for good interaction within the group.
I am now able to design systems, and communicate health and safety to workers and management. I also know where to go when I hit a brick wall with management.

Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this fun learning and training.
Our systems are largely in place, but I am going to revise them. In particular, I like the accident reporting form provided in the manual and will consider changing to it.
A very thorough and interesting course.

I am likely to be more proactive in identifying hazards etc. I also hope to better communicate with co-workers on health and safety matters.
Dunedin, July 2003
I have a much clearer idea of what my role as a health and safety rep is now. I learned some good ideas of how to interact with new and existing staff.
I have a better understanding of how workplace health and safety reps can contribute and be involved in improving workplace safety and reduction of accidents.
This will result in a safer workplace by educating workers and anticipating situations before they happen.
