The Health and Safety in Employment Act

On May 5, 2003 New Zealand's new workplace health and safety law came into force. The most important change in the law is the focus on the key role of the health and safety representative. The legislation is on the OSH Workinfo website. The final copy of the new law is not yet available. The Act on the Workinfo website is the old Act with changes marked. The finalised copy will be published on this website when it is available.
